Sammy is a 19yr old SB and we’ve had her for 18mnths. Good feet, and good to farrier (have only bare foot trim whilst had her). She was bred as a pacer but never saw a race track. She has had two babies (my research) but there’s a large gap in knowledge of where she’s been. The six months before she came to us she was on a farm. She came to us not liking to get on a float. She now self loads and offloads but still doesn’t think it’s the best thing ever. Ive been working gently with her as I like natural horsemanship and how that focuses on the relationship and connection. Sammy really responds to that. She learns fast and prefers the gentle respectful approach. She’s a real lady and responds really well to the rider, but doesn’t like being ridden out by herself given the choice. She would suit a gentle and patient person who can give her the time to build in her the confidence she needs to go any where. Due to me needing to support my daughter with a young horse I need to focus on her not Sammy. I’m looking for the right home more than the right price for Sammy.
